EccoNote Support
It will help us enormously, if you have the time, if you could write a review of EccoNote or EccoNote Pro on the iTunes App Store. We are reading these daily, and are incorporating the changes and features as we can. Also, if you have a problem with the software or just need some technical help, feel free to email us with your questions or concerns.
Better yet, record your question or concern, and email it to us from your phone!

How do I?
Delete old Notes
Use the standard swipe delete iPhone gesture, just the same way you delete individual emails in Mail. In your EccoNotes list, in the row of the note you want to delete, touch the screen and swipe the screen either left or right across the row. The Delete button should appear on the right side of the row.
Configure FTP
Choose the blue and white disclosure indicator on the right side of any recording, and a dialog will appear allowing you to change the name of a note, or Send or Configure FTP. Choose 'Configure'.
Host: This is part of a URL or an IP address that is used to connect to an FTP server. Typically this is something like: www.someurl.com or ftp.aHostName.net. Or it could be just an IP address like: 192.168.0.10. It depends on how you or your administrator set up the FTP Server.
Please note: EccoNote will automatically pre-pend the ftp:// on the front of the Host that you provide in the Host field.
User Name: This is just the User Name for your FTP account.
Password: This is the Password of your FTP account.
What is It?
FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, allows computers to transfer files to other computers over a network. EccoNote uses this standard to allow you to transfer your sound recordings from your iPhone to any computer that has an FTP Server. You must have an FTP account on that server to use FTP.
Your Mac can be turned into an FTP Server so that you can transfer sound files to your computer. See FTP My Notes to My Mac for more information.
FTP to my Mac?
You can send files to your Mac via FTP by configuring your Mac in the 'Sharing' section of System Preferences.
Open 'System Preferences', and choose 'Sharing' under Internet and Networking. If File Sharing is not on, click its checkbox in the left-hand list to turn it on.
Choose 'Options' in the lower-right corner. A sheet will open.
Check Share files and folders using FTP. Checking this option will show you the IP address that you can input into the Host field in the Configure FTP Dialog in EccoNote.
In this case, the EccoNote FTP UserName and Password are your Mac's Username and Password settings.
Please Note: Due to firewalls, this method will typically only work when your computer is on the same network. For example, if you are at home on your wireless network, and your iPhone is on the same wireless network, then this should work fine.
EccoNote File Type - AIF
EccoNote records into AIF sound file format. The reason we chose this sound file format was because AIF files are playable in both iTunes and Windows Media Player.
